A major retailer is preparing to shut more than 100 stores across the UK including a location in Glasgow city centre.
The Glasgow Times previously revealed that Paperchase, a stationery firm with branches on Buchanan Street, Byres Road, and Silverburn Shopping Centre, had fallen into administration.

Tesco since has agreed to buy the stationery chain's brand, but not its shops or the workforce.
A total of 106 stores across the UK are now expected to close with hundreds of staff members likely to face redundancy.
Large yellow signs have this week been put in place in the Buchanan Street shop’s windows advertising a huge closing sale with all stock reduced.

They read: “Store closing down.
“All stock reduced.
“Everything must go.”
The firm has also issued advice for anyone with an outstanding Paperchase gift card with customers advised they now have less than two weeks to use any remaining balance.
