UPDATE: Murder probe launched as police name victim
A MAN has died after he was found injured at a property in East Kilbride.
Police found the man seriously injured within the property in Ivanhoe shortly after 7pm on Tuesday.
The man, described as in his 40s, was treated at the scene by paramedics.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
The man's death is currently being treated as unexplained.
A post-mortem is scheduled to take place to find out the cause of death.
No further details surrounding the incident are available at this time.
Enquiries are ongoing and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Shortly after 7.05pm on February 7, a man in his 40s was found seriously injured within a property in Ivanhoe, East Kilbride.
“He was treated at the scene by paramedics but was pronounced dead a short time later.
“His death is being treated as unexplained and a post-mortem will take place in due course to establish his cause of death.
“Enquiries, which are at an early stage, are ongoing and anyone with information which may assist officers should get in touch with Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 0460 of February 7.”
