AN investigation is underway after a man was hit by a car in the city centre.
Emergency services were called to Argyle Street, at James Watt Street, at around 12.05pm this afternoon following a report of a crash involving a pedestrian and a car.
The pedestrian was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by ambulance following the incident.

His condition is not known.
The driver, who was the only occupant of the car, was not injured.
Enquiries into what happened are continuing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.05 pm on Thursday, February 9 2023, police were called to a road crash involving a male pedestrian and a car on Argyle Street at James Watt Street, Glasgow.
"The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. No details on any injury at this time.
"There was no injury to the driver and single occupant of the car.
"Enquiries into the crash are continuing."
