A PENSIONER has appeared in court accused of raping a 13-year-old girl.
John McDonald, 70, allegedly committed the crime at a property in Rutherglen between August and September 2018.
Court papers state McDonald raped the girl as well as carried out other sexual conduct "without her consent."

McDonald made no plea at a private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
He was represented by his lawyer Haroun Malik.

McDonald, of Auchinleck, East Ayrshire, was granted bail with special conditions by Sheriff Valerie Mays.
His next court date is to be determined.
