UPDATE: The incident has been cleared.
A five-car crash has blocked rush-hour traffic near Glasgow.
The vehicles collided shortly before 7.30am on the M8 eastbound near junction 27 Arkleston interchange.
Traffic Scotland says the incident has forced the closure of one lane with traffic building.

Police Scotland confirmed that they had received a call in relation to the incident, but could not find any trace of a vehicle.
