Glasgow comedian Janey Godley has issued an update on her cancer treatment as she embarks on her tour.
The 62-year-old began her Not Dead Yet tour on February 1 and between dates in Greenock, she told her followers that her haemoglobin levels were back up despite the gruelling chemotherapy she is receiving.
Haemoglobin is a protein in red blood cells that transports oxygen to your body's organs and tissues. It also transports carbon dioxide from your organs and tissues back to your lungs.

Fans and friends congratulated Janey on the positive news, including Davina McCall who wrote: "Fantastic news, can’t wait to see you next week."
Natalie O'Donoghue added: "Wonderful news Janey! Looking forward to seeing you at the Glasgow comedy fest."

Janey was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in November 2021 and underwent a full hysterectomy in January last year.
She was given the all-clear in June 2022 but shared the news in December that the cancer had returned and she would be requiring more treatment in the New Year.
