A man has been rushed to hospital after an assault outside a Glasgow library.
Police were called to Wellshot Road after the daylight attack near Shettleston Library.
The Glasgow Times understands the man was stabbed.
The incident occurred around 1.55pm on Wednesday, February 22.
Details of the man's condition are unknown.
He was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.
Officers remain at the scene in the East End.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Wellshot Road in Glasgow at around 1.55pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 following an assault.
“A man has been taken to hospital by ambulance. Enquiries are ongoing and a police presence remains at the scene.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 1.51pm on February 22 to attend an incident on Wellshot Road, Glasgow.
"We dispatched two resources to the scene, and one patient was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
