A man has been rushed to hospital with slashing injuries after an incident in a house.

Emergency services were called to a property on Strathfillan Road in East Kilbride on Wednesday evening shortly before 8pm.

They were responding to a report of a man being seriously assaulted.

The 31-year-old was found with laceration wounds and was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers are now investigating the incident and are urging anyone who may be able to provide them with information to get in touch. 

 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.50pm on Wednesday, February 22, police were called to a report of a man seriously assaulted within a house in Strathfillan Road, East Kilbride.

“Officers attended and a 31-year-old man was taken by Ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is being treated for lacerations.

"Hospital staff describe his condition as stable.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident and anyone with information that may assist our investigation should contact 101 with reference number 3290 of February 22.”
