An unexpected power cut has hit a number of areas in Glasgow this morning.
Parts of both the G12 and G21 postcodes, including Springburn and Kelvinside, have been left without power since around 7.30am today with Scottish Power engineers now racing to fix the issue as soon as possible.
A spokesperson said: “There is a power cut affecting the G12/G21 postcode area of Glasgow.
"We had no advance warning of this and first became aware of it at 7:32am.
“Our next available engineer will attend the site to find and fix the fault as quickly and as safely as possible.
"We expect your electricity supply to be restored by 10:45am.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
Postcodes affected are G120NX, G120NZ, G120PA, G120PB, G120PD, G120PH, G120PJ, G120PQ, G211UU and G211XG.
