A SUSPECT is to stand trial charged with murdering a man who died in hospital.
Dean Ferguson, 29, is accused of killing Billy Joe Bates in Glasgow's Milton on November 18, 2018.
It is claimed the 28-year-old was repeatedly struck on the body with a knife or similar item.

Mr Bates is said to have been left so severely hurt that he passed away at Glasgow Royal Infirmary four days later.
The case called for a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow today where Ferguson's lawyers pleaded not guilty on his behalf.

Prosecutor Lindsey Dalziel and defence KC Donald Findlay agreed a trial could be fixed.
Lord Boyd set a trial due to begin in November. The case could last around seven days.
