Martin Compston admitted he has pranked famous actors by messaging them through a dating app.
The Greenock actor revealed that one of his co-stars showed him how the online dating platform Raya works, and he spotted a number of his friends from the industry on it.
While he kept tight-lipped on names to 'save their blushes', he said he messaged a few people to wind them up.
Speaking on his Restless Natives podcast with Gordon Smart, he said: "One of my co-stars was on Raya and they were showing me and I saw some of my mates on it and mate, some of the profiles are absolutely shocking.
"I was like ‘Let me message them’, I’ll save their blushes but I had a few right good wind-ups."
Gordon replied: "Amazing! Are we talking about famous actors?"
Martin said: "Yeah, I was like ‘It’s me’ haha."
The Line of Duty star also hinted that he is preparing for a new role.
He said: "So there’s a new part in the talks which I’m very excited about but I can’t reveal yet.
"But the person who’s behind this kind of thing messaged me and said ‘Martin, I’m absolutely delighted that you may be involved, looking forward to your participation. It’s about time someone who isn’t 6ft or a model played this type of role’."
