A POPULAR tearoom in Glasgow has gone on the market.
The Hidden Lane Tearoom has been an "institution" in Finnieston since it first opened more than a decade ago.
Now, an opportunity has arisen for a new owner-operator to take over the quirky vintage cafe.
The sale is being managed by Smith and Clough, which says the business has a huge potential to tap into the evening trade if it can get an alcohol licence.
The leasehold is available for offers over £45,000.
A spokesperson for Smith and Clough said: “We are delighted to be handling the sale of The Hidden Lane Tearoom which provides a tremendous opportunity for a new owner-operator to take on this well-established and quirky vintage tearoom which trades well but still offers further growth potential.
"The business only trades daytime hours and operates without an alcohol licence, so subject to obtaining a licence it is felt a new owner could capitalise on evening opening hours and introduce a wine/cocktail menu, with bottles of fizz to compliment their famous high teas.
“We have handled the sale of many businesses in Finnieston recently including coffee shops, restaurants, takeaways and pubs, and we are seeing strong demand from buyers looking to get into the Finnieston area, so we are expecting high levels of interest in this sale.”
