A man is battling serious injuries after his car went off the road.
The 22-year-old was driving a red Vauxhall Corsa on the B7078 when, at some point between Kirkmuirhill and Lesmahagow, the vehicle left the road.
The incident happened at around 6.35pm on Wednesday, March 8.
Emergency services were called and the road was closed for around nine hours while cops investigated the circumstances.
They are now urging any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
Sergeant Gemma Blackadder, from the Motherwell Road Policing Unit, said: “I’d like to thank those members of the public who stopped and helped at the scene, and for those who have already spoken with police.
“Our enquiries into this incident remain ongoing and I would continue to ask for anyone who was in the area and may have seen the crash, or the Corsa involved, or have possible dashcam footage from the area, to please come forward.
“You can call police on 101, quoting incident 3095 of March 8, 2023.”
