UPDATE HERE.
Officers locked down an area in Glasgow city centre.
A cordon was set up at the corner of Jamaica Street and Howard Street, near the four corners.
Police vans are guarding the scene on both ends of the tape.
The lane next to the building has also been locked down.
The area, home to several businesses, sits near Lidl on Jamaica Street.
It is not known yet what the nature of the incident is.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
