Police are investigating after a report of a rape in Glasgow city centre.
The force revealed that they were made aware of the incident just before 8.30pm last night.
They did not reveal any details about the victim.
However, they confirmed that a 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and the investigation continues.
As we reported earlier, the corner of Jamaica Street and Howard Street was cordoned off as two police vans remain on the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were made aware of a serious sexual assault in the Howard Street area of Glasgow around 8.20pm on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
"A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing."
