A popular Glaswegian author is set to make a guest appearance at an exciting event this May.
Award-winning novelist, Chris Brookmyre, has today been announced as the guest author for the Bookface Sip and Swap event.
The event, which takes place every month, sees book lovers swap titles and participate in a Q and A to pick the brains of some of the UK's most noted authors.

The 'Quite Ugly One Morning' author will take over the event on Saturday, May 20 which will take place at August House in the city centre.
The author will discuss his latest novel, 'The Cliffhouse', take part in a 45-minute Q and A, hosted by journalist, Maggie Barry, and participate in a book swap featuring 400 books of every genre.
Heather Suttie, who started Bookface during lockdown, said: "I’m thrilled to bits Chris is joining us, I devoured 'The Cliffhouse' and can’t wait to hear Chris chat about the inspiration for this nightmarish plot, hen weekends can be hellish but this one is next level.
“The Bookface events are great for saving money and being sustainable as the swap element is a big hit people who love a great book and guests recycle books and pick up new ones from every genre, perhaps picking up titles they might not otherwise have chosen to read."
