A teen has been taken to hospital after being mugged by a gang of youths.
The attack, which occurred in broad daylight, took place on St Vincent Street in the city centre in front of hundreds of Sunday shoppers.
It is understood that the male and female teens responsible had weapons. The community page, No1Seems2Care posted about the incident and said the gang was armed with glass bottles and golf clubs.
The teen has been taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary following the incident, which took place at around 1.20pm yesterday.
His condition is unknown and police did not reveal what was stolen.
Those responsible have yet to be traced, but enquiries are ongoing.
A police spokesperson said: "Around 1.20 pm on Sunday, March 19, police received a report of a 17-year-old man having been robbed by a group of male and female teenagers in St Vincent Street, Glasgow.
"The 17-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
"Enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible."
