A Glasgow pub will be refurbing its beer garden ahead of a major European game. 

The Florida Park, on Battlefield Road, is unveiling a brand-new garden on March 25 ahead of Scotland’s UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying game against Cyprus.

The beer garden will boast an extensive outdoor bar with a mural painted on one side by local artist, Gillian McNeill, a mixture of colourful furniture and will comfortably seat around 70 customers, or 125 standing. 

In addition, a selection of garden greenery will be introduced – including hanging baskets, potted plants and small trees and brand new decking will be installed, with one section to host large undercover, heated area.

The refurb comes as part of the Southside pub's major £85,000 transformation, funded by Admiral Taverns.

The outdoor bar in the garden will stock a wide selection of premium lagers and ciders, spirits and cocktails.

The Florida Park won't offer its own food menu, but on match and concert days the operator will invite street food vendors to the pub, with a percentage of the proceeds going towards local charities.
