A woman is preparing to run the height of Mount Everest in a Glasgow park, for charity.
Ella Peters, and anyone who may join her, will take to Queen's Park to run a total of 8849m, which is how tall the world's highest mountain is.
Volunteers will be racing from the bottom of the park to the flagpole in the Southside park an astonishing 320 times.
Runners will take on the challenge between 6am and 9pm on Saturday, April 15.
The event has a fundraiser, where kind-hearted people are encouraged to donate money.
Proceeds will go towards an after-school club in Nepal, where Ella volunteered during a recent visit.
The centre supports young people from complex social backgrounds.
She said: “I first volunteered for this after-school homework club in Nepal in 2017 and recently returned there in November 2022.
"There, I met Asmita and her Mum, Ama, who were looking after children with complex social backgrounds. I helped the kids with their homework, played games and sports with them and generally hung out with them like they were my own little brothers and sisters.
"Despite facing their own challenges, Asmita and Ama go out of their way to help the kids most in need in their community. Education is so important for these young people and I’d love to be able to help Ama and Asmita support these kids for as long as possible.
"The money raised will go towards providing resources like pens, paper, arts & crafts, books, after-school snacks and basic warm clothes like hats, gloves and socks for the kids.
"I’d love you to join me in taking on this fun challenge. Please support in any way you can and help raise money for this worthy cause.”
