A man was taken to hospital after an alleged stabbing that left him with life-threatening injuries.
As we reported yesterday, Police Scotland received reports of an assault around 3.45pm yesterday on Houston Square in Johnstone.
A 45-year-old was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition remains serious but stable at this time.
A 47-year-old man was arrested in connection with the alleged incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Houston Square in Johnstone at around 3.45pm on Thursday, March 23, after a 45-year-old man was assaulted.
“He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he received treatment for life-threatening injuries. His condition remains serious but stable at this time.
“A 47-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.”
