Football legend Rose Reilly is set to attend the official opening of a bar named after her.
The Rose Reilly pub, from the team behind The Sparkle Horse and The Bell Jar, will mark its "opening ceremony" on Saturday, March 25 at 11am.
The new venue on Albert Drive is named after pioneering football legend Rose Reilly, who was banned from representing Scotland in the World Cup for speaking out about the inequality between the men's and women's games.
She went on to win the equivalent of the Women's World Cup for Italy in 1984.
A spokesperson from the pub made the exciting announcement that she would be attending the grand opening on social media.
They wrote: "We'll be open at 11am this Saturday as we are honoured to have Rose Reilly herself in attendance to officially open the bar.
"Get down early for the opening ceremony!"
We recently reported that The Rose Reilly had been approved to open up a beer garden and extend their hours during the week.
