A Glasgow football club have revealed that they have found roots in legacy.
Carmyle United Football Team, based in the East End of the city, was formed last July in commemoration of the club manager's late father, Billy Armour.
The club revealed its origins for the Glasgow Times' upcoming special souvenir supplement, which celebrates youngsters who tackle like Andy Robertson and save like Craig Gordon.

Speaking to the Glasgow Times, Carmyle's manager, Scott Armour, said: "I started the club last July for my dad, who passed away in 2021 from Covid.
"It was always his dream to get a club going again in Carmyle, with him running it and me coaching it.
"He talked about it for years and it certainly helped that my son played football since he was six-years-old.
"My dad was at every training session and matches with me to watch my son, and it was around 2021 that he decided he wanted to get the club going.
"But, unfortunately, he passed away before we got going with it.
"So, I did this in his memory."
Billy spent most of his life in the football sphere, whether in coaching or playing.
He played for Campsie Black Watch Football Club from around 1973 and eventually helped run and coach the Wolves Boys Club from around 1985 until 1989, who were based out in Carmyle.
During his career, Billy was approached to play for Sheffield United Football Club (which he knocked back due to Scott's birth) and he even started up Orchard Park Boys Club in Carmyle which ran for a number of years, and the Man United supporters club in Glasgow in 1990.
Now, having started Carmyle Football Club, Scott hopes to give as many Glasgow kids the chance to play football as his father did.
The 49-year-old said: "We just want to give kids the opportunity to play football.
"We want to build a club for all kids of all ages to have a chance at playing the sport for years to come.
"We want to help kids mentally and physically, to get kids fit and off the street.
"Hopefully I can create something that is still around even when I no longer am.
"The village of Carmyle needs something for the kids."
Scott runs the team with the help of ex-Man United player Colin McKee, who plays a very active role in the club.
The club is open to all ages and genders, and is split into three squads; the 2010, 2014 and 2015 teams which play a mix of 11s, 7s and 5-a-sides tournaments.
The team has strong recruitment numbers, with 22 in the 2010 squad and 12 in the 2014 team, but the East End club are always open to getting more youngsters involved.
With numbers growing, the team are on the hunt for a more permanent home, which they hope comes in the form of a pitch being built in Carmyle.
Without a single ground or facility, the team are currently training all over Glasgow.
Scott is planning to use the next six months to try and get more facilities built so that the team can open up to kids as young as primary ones.

The team is free to join for the first month, and thereafter, there is a monthly charge of £30 to pay for the pitch and running costs.
