A FIRST Bus has been torched following a 'cluster' of anti-social behaviour near a major shopping centre.
Emergency crews were called to Corkerhill Road near Silverburn shopping centre around 12.30am on Tuesday morning to extinguish the flaming double-decker bus.
Two fire engines were deployed to battle the blaze.
Thugs 'put lives at risk' with the fire which forced the driver to evacuate, a spokesperson from the bus company told the Glasgow Times.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.
Images reveal the bus was completely destroyed by the firebugs.
The attack is the latest in a 'cluster of incidents in the area', sparking a joint investigation with First Bus and emergency services.
A spokesperson for First Glasgow said: "We can confirm that one of our buses was damaged by fire on Monday evening.
“The driver evacuated the vehicle safely. An investigation into the cause is under way in conjunction with the emergency services.
“This is the latest in a cluster of incidents in this area of the city and we are working closely with Police Scotland to identify and take action against the individuals putting lives at risk.”
We reported on March 29 that the staff at McDonald's Silverburn had been victims of racist and physical attacks from a gang of youths.
The Pollok restaurant was forced to ban under 16s after 6pm but is still on the hunt for a solution to the anti-social behaviour.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 12.33am on Tuesday, March 28 to reports of a bus on fire in the Pollok area of Glasgow.
"Operations control mobilised two fire appliances to Corkerhill Road, where firefighters extinguished a fire which had taken hold of a double-decker bus.
"Crews thereafter left the scene. There were no casualties."
