A Glasgow community organisation was forced to slash its opening hours.
The Glasgow Tool Library, based in Maryhill, but operating several sites across the city, announced the closure of its Saturday time slot.
In a Facebook post, volunteers explained that the reason is a drop in available funding.
The text read: "Due to the reduction in funding we are unfortunately going to close our weekly Saturday slot at 818 Garscube Road.
"We’re really sorry we have to do this, but with reduced staff hours we can’t commit to opening on Saturdays.
"We hope this is a temporary measure and we hope that with additional volunteer support, we can open more days of the week in the near future."
The organisation lends tools for free in exchange for a pay-what-you-can membership and has been running since 2019.
Its Garscube Road site will now be open only on Wednesdays from 3pm to 7pm.
