OWNERS of an award-winning chip shop that got a "shout-out from Piers Morgan' will close its doors next month.
Bosses at Off The Hook in Airdrie, which also serves Asian food, have announced on social media that they have made the decision to "say goodbye" after 10 years due to several factors.
Lee and Johnny said the decision has not been easy and thanked customers and staff for their support.

In a post on Instagram, they wrote: "With a heavy heart we have made the decision to say goodbye to our 10-year Off The Hook venture.
"It’s not been an easy decision to make, with many contributing factors and to be honest I’m still not convinced it’s the right decision.
"I just want to say a huge thank you to every single one of our amazing customers and staff, old and new, who have made our wee dream chippy/Chinese possible.
"We have loved serving you delicious food through all the madness."
They continued: "Kickstarting our journey with an oopsie pregnancy right after signing the lease, our wedding three days before opening the doors, two babies later, a few awards, a Good Morning Britain shout-out from Piers Morgan, Brexit, Covid, a Chinese kitchen and now a cheeky cost-of-living crisis.
"You literally couldn’t write this.
"It’s been the maddest yet best time of our lives and even when times were tough with all your amazing support - this chippy has been our beacon in the dark.
"It has truly been an honour to serve you or work with you."
They said the business will be open until at least the first week in May and revealed they are already planning their next adventure.
Fans of the fish and chip shop flooded the comments to say how devastated they were by the news.
One person wrote: "My heart is hurting. Please don't go."
Another said: "Where will I get the best gluten-free takeaway now?! Good luck for the future! You’ll be missed."
A third person added: "Thank you for the great meals and top service and looking after us every time we were in. All the best in your future ventures!"
