A man is dead following an incident which took place during the early hours of this morning in Glasgow.
At around 5.25am, police received a report of concern for two men on Auchinloch Street in the north of the city.
After emergency services raced to respond, one man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary Hospital for treatment.
A large police presence remains at the crime scene now with a number of road closures in place including Springburn Road, Turner Road, Petershill Road and Laverockhall Street.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of concern for two men on Auchinloch Street, Glasgow, around 5.25am on Friday, April 14.
“One man was pronounced dead at the scene and one man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary Hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“A number of road closures are in place, including Springburn Road, Turner Road, Petershill Road and Laverockhall Street.
"Drivers are asked to avoid the area.”
