A probe has been launched following the death of a prisoner at Low Moss prison in Bishopbriggs.
Gerard Hooks died while in the custody of the Scottish Prison Service on April 30, 2022.
Hooks, who was 76 years old at the time of his death, was convicted at Falkirk Sheriff Court one year prior to his passing.
The cause of his death and the details surrounding it have not been made public.
The Fatal Accident Inquiry (FAI) will be held at Glasgow Sheriff Court later this year to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
A preliminary hearing will take place on May 22. The dates fixed for the inquiry will be November 6 and 7.
A second investigation has also been launched into the death of Darryl Goodwin, who died in police custody.
Goodwin's age and the details around his death are unknown but are expected to be revealed during the inquiry.
The preliminary hearing into his death will be held on June 5, also at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
An inquiry is mandatory in Scotland following the death of a prisoner in custody.
