A popular fish and chip shop was visited by a member of Parliament following a huge success.
CATCH Fish and Chips Netherlee was judged to be among the top 50 best fish and chips takeaways in the UK, according to Fry Magazine.
To mark the honour, Kirsten Oswald, Member of Parliament for East Renfrewshire, went to the restaurant to congratulate them and give them a special gift.
She said: “I was delighted to hear. What a great accolade for them and a testament to the hard-working team.
“I was delighted to meet with staff in Netherlee to present them with a copy of the Early Day Motion which I tabled at Westminster to mark their success.
"We are very lucky to have such a brilliant local business in East Renfrewshire.”
At the same time, the Gibson Street venue of the business was named in the top ten best restaurants in the UK.
CATCH owner, Giancarlo Celino said: “We are absolutely delighted.
"I would like to thank all of my staff, suppliers and customers for helping us achieve these amazing accolades.”
