Emergency services have locked down an area of Petershill Road in North Glasgow today.
Their cordon was put in place after a report of a suspect device.

Police arrived this morning (Monday, April 17) at around 10.05am and have remained at the scene.

The specialist bomb squad known officially as the EOD Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit remain at the scene.

Police told The Glasgow Times: "As a precaution, a number of flats have been evacuated and some road closures have been implemented. People are advised at this time to heed local diversions or seek alternative routes.”
Where do the Petershill Road residents go?
Some residents have been offered to be taken Springburn Leisure Centre.

The Glasgow Times understands a 50-year-old man has been arrested.
