A GRITTY thriller has been released on Sky Cinema today with Glasgow taking a starring role.
In April last year, we reported that the city had been taken back in time for the filming of Borderland, a movie set in 1970s London which follows the story of a retired IRA paramilitary (Colin Morgan) who seeks vengeance for his wife Carol (Mairead Tyers) after she was shot dead by a British soldier (Aml Ameen).

From vintage cars lining our streets to huge charity shop donations straight from the set, there was plenty of action in and around Glasgow as superstars like Mark Strong were spotted on location filming high-intensity scenes.
It’s now time to see the results on screen with the film, which has been renamed Dead Shot, available for streaming today and a trailer for the project giving us some idea of what to expect.

Eagle-eyed viewers will spot the iconic Laurieston Bar in the city’s Southside, the Criterion Cafe in Gallowgate and split-second glimpses of streets in and around Glasgow that have been given a retro makeover.
