NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has today announced the launch of spring booster drop-in clinics as part of a continued effort to combat Covid-19.
Locations across Glasgow are now offering vaccinations to people aged 75 and over or for those with a weakened immune system aged 12 or above with no appointment necessary.
It has been said that these routine repeat vaccinations will provide ‘crucial protection’ against the virus and will help to prevent serious illness.
Iain Kennedy, consultant in public health medicine, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer drop-in clinics for the Covid-19 spring booster vaccination.
“We would like to assure members of the public that they will be vaccinated safely and efficiently to avoid any long periods of waiting.
“Our staff have been working relentlessly for the duration of the vaccination rollout and I would like to pass on my sincere thanks for their hard work and commitment throughout.”
People who are eligible for the vaccine are encouraged to attend one of the clinics as soon as possible.
