POLICE have issued an update after a man's body was found.
We previously reported that an emergency response had been called to Houston Square in Johnstone on Saturday after the 58-year-old was discovered.
Officers were treating his death as unexplained.
The force has now said that a post-mortem will take place soon to determine the cause of death.
At this time, police do not consider the death to be suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.55am on Saturday, May 13, police received a report of a 58-year-old man's body being found in Houston Square, Johnstone.
“A post-mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death however police are not treating the death as suspicious at this time.
“A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
