Scottish singer Amy MacDonald has made a plea to her Instagram followers today following an 'incredibly scary' fan encounter at her home.
The Bishopbriggs-born star took to the social media app this afternoon to ask that her followers refrain from visiting her home address.
She said: "I am so grateful for all my amazing fans but it's never ok to turn up at my home.
"Please don't do it.
"It's incredibly scary for me as innocent as it may be."
MacDonald has a total of 157,000 followers onhe app having risen to fame with global smash hits like This Is the Life and Mr Rock & Roll.
We previously revealed that the star had made use of her own social media to call on Glasgow City Council to seek the help of a Hollywood actor to fill potholes.
