A GROUP of school kids set sail on the historic Waverley ship today following some recent competition success.
The Glasgow Times, in partnership with The Waverley, recently ran an incredible competition giving school pupils a chance to sail "doon the watter" on the famous paddle steamer.

Runners up St David's Primary School, based in Johnstone, boarded the landmark after managing to impress with their crafty recreation of The Waverley.

Cumbrae Primary took home the first place prize in amongst hundreds of entries, and other runner ups included St Brigid's Primary, Gavinburn Primary, Old Kilpatrick, and Millersneuk Primary School.
