A GLASGOW nightclub is hosting a throwback night for the 30 plus crowd as it looks to bring back “original” clubbers 20 years on since it opened its doors.
The Buff Club has launched The Over’s and the venue said the idea is to get people who used to attend the club as teenagers when it first opened to return for a night.
Having opened in 2003, the club has hosted thousands of party people over the years with many memories made.
But now it is looking to resurrect those memories from the back of Glaswegians' minds, and create new ones with friends of old and new.
Saturday, June 17 is the date of the big reunion, catered for the 30 plus group, with doors of the club on Bath Lane opening at 7pm and closing at 11pm.
Tickets are priced at £5 for an “oldie bird” and £8 for “geriatric release”.
The statement said: “We asked, you answered. Forget about the Unders, it’s now time for The Over’s.
“It’s been 20 years since the Buff opened its doors. Throughout the years we’ve welcomed thousands of you down the lane for countless late night boogie sessions that’ve seen the start of friendships, relationships and timeless moments and memories that are now ingrained within the walls and carpet stairs…
“Although with the passing of time and the introduction of grown up life things like jobs, kids, back aches and bus passes, we’ve seen a lot of the original Bath Lane crew settle into the life of afternoon brunches, pints down the local, up the road for Netflix and early nights in bed.
“Now whilst that way of life has its appeal, we’ve heard from many of you for some time now that the desire for a good old fashioned, sweaty walled, dog carpeted, plastic cupped, Buff Club boogie is well and truly there and that we should do something about it.
"So we are introducing The Over’s - a 7pm to 11pm club night for a 30 plus crowd in the Buff Club, exactly as you remember it to be, with the exception of a few more wrinkles.
“Round up the old squad, get the boogie shoes looked out and come join us under the disco ball."
