Plans to expand an M&S Foodhall have been revealed with 20 new jobs to be created.
The shop at West End Retail Park on Crow Road will be undergoing a makeover this summer and is expected to be fully open in Autumn 2023.
The extension will bring a "fresh market feel" to the unit with a new bakery and dedicated wine shop in addition to more Scan and Shop facilities.
Disruption to shoppers is hoped to be kept to a minimum as the supermarket takes over a neighbouring unit and it will remain open to customers during the works.
The retailer is looking to fill 20 new roles to support the store which will be expanded to 15,000 sq ft.
Marks & Spencer will be working with local employability schemes such as the Marks and Start programme which is run in partnership with The Prince's Trust to help young people aged 16-30 find employment.
The expansion follows the recent announcement that M&S plans to invest £500 million in its 'store rotation programme', creating over 3,400 new jobs nationwide.
The company is hiring for roles from customer assistants to jobs in the bakery and more.
Store manager Michael Sweeney, who has worked for Marks and Spencer for two years, is leading the recruitment drive for the shop.
He said: “Our local community really is at the heart of M&S, so to be able to create these new job opportunities in Glasgow is truly fantastic.
"We are working closely with local job centres and employability schemes to find and train the best applicants from the local area for the wide variety of roles that are available, including bakers and customer assistants.
"If you’re interested in joining the team at our exciting, expanding store in Glasgow, please do visit the M&S Jobs website and apply online now!”
