A MAN has been arrested following an alleged shoplifting spree at a popular shopping centre where he was found to allegedly be in possession of multiple 'bladed articles'.
Officers teamed up with retailers and security staff from the Oak Mall Shopping Centre in Greenock on Wednesday amid the incident.
A 34-year-old male was arrested.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Working with retailers and security staff at the Oak Mall, Greenock, June 14, a 34-year-old male was arrested for possession of bladed articles and several thefts by shoplifting.
"Possession of a sharply bladed or pointed article risks a prison sentence up to five years."
