A lout made vile sexual comments about police officers’ children.

James Adams made the tirade while on a journey from Glasgow’s Barlanark to Cathcart police station on January 22, 2022.

The city’s sheriff court heard officers had attended Adams’ home where he was arrested.

He was handcuffed and put in a police vehicle and driven to a station.

Prosecutor Darren Harty stated, while en route, Adams told officers that he had coronavirus before coughing and spitting.

He then made comments about officers young children performing sex acts.

This included comments such as “I hope your wain has aids.”

Adams continued his conduct while within the police station.

Mr Harty added: “He advised officers that their children engage in sexual behaviour with each other.”

Adams continued to cough and spit after saying he tested positive for coronavirus.

He pleaded guilty this week to culpable and reckless conduct.

Adams also admitted intentionally directing sexual communication to the officers without consent.

Sentence was deferred pending background reports until next month by Sheriff Daniel Kelly.

Adams was granted bail meantime.
