A Glasgow supermarket worker has thanked Asda after making his dream to release an album possible.
Matthew Gibb, who works in the store in Toryglen, is the voice behind his debut album All The Words I Made For You.
Matthew, who has been working at the Southside Asda for six months, has helped out at many of the supermarket's charity events over the years.
The home shopping driver said: “I’ve been singing professionally since I was 14, it’s always been something I’ve wanted to pursue, and I am so delighted to have released my debut album."
Liz Arbuckle, Community Champion of Asda Toryglen, said: “I first met Matthew when I was supporting his school with their healthy sports day event, where I first heard him playing his guitar and singing at the age of 15.
“I simply asked him if he would play at a fundraising ladies’ lunch I was arranging, this was the start of our long friendship.”
Liz added: “Over the years Matthew has played at all our ladies’ lunch days for the store’s charities. He also brought the best of Glasgow's young buskers to play in our foyer and has played at family events too, he really has it all.
“Matthew is young and incredibly hardworking, the whole team at Asda Toryglen is so proud of him and delighted that he's released his debut album.”
Matthew said: “I really couldn’t have done it without Asda, especially Liz, as she has given me the opportunity to play lots of gigs for charity.
"Thank you to Asda who allow me to work full time and provide the flexibility to pursue my singing career but also giving me that stability that so many musicians need!”
