A man was rushed to hospital after being 'stabbed' on Saturday evening.
The 34-year-old was found with 'stab wounds' on Main Street in Cumbernauld around 8.30pm near The Spur Hotel.
He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the incident.
A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged attack.
He will appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court tomorrow.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a 34-year-old man having been found injured on Main Street in Cumbernauld around 8.35pm on Saturday, June 24, 2023.
“He was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and he is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday, June 26.”
