Maryhill-born footballer Andy Robertson has been honoured with an MBE this week.
The Scottish captain and Liverpool defender was honoured with the award by The Prince of Wales on Wednesday, June 28.

The 29-year-old received the prestigious award after setting up the charity AR26 in 2020, which helps vulnerable young people with their mental and physical health.
The award presentation took place at Windsor Castle.

The Premier League winner stated that he was 'honoured' with his new title.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "Honoured to receive this award, MBE."
Professional footballers Jen Beattie and Gareth Beale were also given an MBE at the ceremony.
Tottenham Hotspur legend Pat Jennings was made a CBE.
