Cops have released an update after a crash with a 'stolen' car resulted in four people being hospitalised.
We previously reported that a car reported stolen in the village of Eaglesham, was later involved in a crash in the Bearsden area on Saturday.
Several roads were closed due to the incident.
The alleged incident involved an unmarked police vehicle and three men and one police officer were rushed to hospital.
Officers have since charged three men in connection.
Two are expected to appear in court over the next two days while the force continues its investigation into the alleged incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.35am on Saturday, July 1, 2023, we were called to a report of the theft of a car in Gilmour Street, Eaglesham.
"The car was later involved in a crash with an unmarked police vehicle in the Canniesburn Toll area of Bearsden, Glasgow.
"Three men, aged 32, 29 and 20, and a police officer were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
"The three men have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"Two of the men are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, July 3, and one is expected to appear on Tuesday, July 4.
“Reports have been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and enquiries are ongoing.”
