GLASGOW Conservative group leader Thomas Kerr will be raising money for Poppy Scotland by ziplining across the Clyde.
The councillor, who represents Shettleston ward, will be doing the challenge on Sunday, September 10.
He is aiming to raise £1000 for his chosen charity and has already made over £100 so far in donations.
He said: “Poppy Scotland are a terrific charity and do tremendous work all-year round to support our Armed Forces community, both past and present.
“I’m delighted to announce that I’ll be undertaking this challenge to raise money for them.”
The charity works all year round to support the Armed Forces and the councillor is encouraging people to give whatever they can to support their work.
Thomas has admitted that the thought of dangling over the Clyde has slightly terrified him but is motivated by the thought of raising money for a good cause.
