A road incident has sparked an emergency response.
Images taken from the scene in Cambuslang appear to show that a vehicle has crashed through traffic light poles and down a hill at the side of the road.
Two people were taken to hospital as a precaution, the force revealed.
An eyewitness told the Glasgow Times that police and fire crews have been at Main Street near its junction with Clydeford Road since around midday on Wednesday.
Recovery teams could be seen taping off the area, and the incident has resulted in a hole in the ground from the traffic light pole being ripped out.
