Wheatley Homes Glasgow tenant Hugh Hunter from Milton is one of more than 4000 people helped by the fuel advice team in the last 12 months.

The 55-year-old said: “The support from the fuel advice team has made such a big difference.

“My fuel advisor Ingrid has been brilliant and I can’t sing her praises enough. She has always gone above and beyond the whole time to help me, giving me advice on fuel use, budgeting and helped me access other support that Wheatley offers its tenants.

“There are people out there who can help if you are struggling. This service is a credit to Wheatley.”

Hazel Young, Wheatley Group director of Housing and Property Management, said: “We’re doing all we can to support our tenants in these difficult times.

Fuel bills are a real concern for many of our tenants, with many being unwilling to put their heating on due to the fear of the cost.

“The service is available to all of our tenants to use and can make a big difference, particularly during this cost of living crisis. If you are struggling, we are here to help.”
