Glasgow’s very own Joesef proved he’s a superstar in the making after graduating to TRNSMT’s main stage and smashing it.
The Garthamlock-born singer, whose previous debut at the festival was on the King Tut's stage, kicked off his Friday set with It’s Been a Little Heavy Lately before breezily asking, “What’s f**king happening Glasgow?”
Backed by a band of talented musicians, the singer then launched into Does it Make You Feel Good?
He then beamed: “My name is Joesef and I’m from the East End of Glasgow. Let’s see if we can get the sun out.”
And that was a thought the city crowd held onto with the threat of rain constantly brewing in the skies.
Despite the damp weather, Joesef lifted spirits as he impressed with his soulful voice.
Clearly stunned to have such a big stage in his hometown, he then laughed: “It’s good to be back home man, here we go!”
His cover of Sister Sledge's Thinking of You delighted the crowd before he finished with the catchy Joe.
Down to earth, chatty and full of raw talent, Joesef is the sort of singer that makes you proud to say, "he's from Glasgow."
