A prisoner in Glasgow's Barlinnie has died.
The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) announced the death of Rudolphus Zijlmans, 53.
According to the service, he died on Monday, June 3.
Zijlmans was convicted in 2019 at Edinburgh High Court.
A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held following the death.
A SPS spokesperson said:" Rudolphus Zijlmans, 53, a prisoner at HMP Barlinnie has died on June 3, 2023.
"He was convicted at Edinburgh High Court in 2019. Police Scotland have been advised and the matter was reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
"A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course."
