Subway passengers were forced to evacuate a train after being trapped for nearly an hour.
The Outer Circle was suspended due to a technical fault on Saturday which caused a train to break down around 3pm.
Passengers on their way to TRNSMT were over an hour late and claim that they missed some afternoon performances as a result. Others missed connecting trains.
It is unclear where the train was located when it broke down.
A shocking image reveals people forced to make their way through the tunnel to safety.
One commuter told the Glasgow Times: "[On Saturday] the Subway Outer Line was halted as the train I was on had to suddenly stop due to a technical issue.
"After a 50-minute wait the passengers had to evacuate the train and walk along the tunnel to the next station.
"It was roasting hot and people were late for TRNSMT and connecting trains as a result."
An SPT spokesperson said: “The Subway Outer Circle was suspended on Saturday due to a broken-down train and passengers were detrained, as is normal practice if break down is mid-tunnel, to the next station.
"SPT reacts as quickly as possible to all unexpected events, and passenger safety is always our first priority.
"Before detraining of passengers can commence, we need to ensure complete isolation of the track and staff in place to assist.
"We apologise to all passengers for the inconvenience.”
