A BUSY East End street is to be shut for road works.
Carriageway surfacing works will see Baillieston Road between Sandyhills Road and Carrick Drive from the morning of Wednesday, July 12 to 4pm on Thursday, July 13.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area during that time.
Glasgow City Council's roads team has warned of potential disruption over the period of the closure.

Diversions will be in place from Hallhill Road to Edinburgh Road then onto Barrchnie Road, meanwhile, another route will also be available from Mount Vernon Avenue to Hamilton Road and Killin Street.
