Three people were taken to hospital following a crash.
Police were called to reports of a two-car crash around 11pm on Tuesday, June 20, on Glasgow Road in Blantyre, at its junction with Blantyre Farm Road.
The crash involved a Blue Volkswagen Touran and a blue hatchback vehicle, which did not stop following the collision.
The driver of the Volkswagen and two passengers were taken to Hairmyres Hospital for treatment.
Cops launched a hunt to track down the driver who made away as they ask for the public's help.
Constable Reece Sloan said “We are carrying out further enquiries to establish the full circumstances and trace the second vehicle.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time that may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
“If you witnessed the crash, have dash-cam footage or any information that could assist with our enquiries, please get in touch via 101, quoting incident number 4624 of 20 June.”
